“Alien” bust replica creation in natural (big!) size
3D-Printing Solutions presents a very interesting application of 3D printing technology: art prints in big dimensions…!
As a part of an artistic project, we constructed a bust replica of the legendary “Alien”, science fiction cinema and gaming hero. The stimulus given is a statue of “Alien”, in natural size.

The rivaval process…!
Our 3D expert team successfully applied modeling, slicing and 3D printing technics to bring “Alien” to life. In our artistic lab, we added colors and veneer, for a totally realistic result!
Step 1st: Decision make for the best 3D printing strategy (slicing). Scan file and further modeling modifications.
Step 2nd: “Alien” 3D printing process in 2 mirror parts (max dimension = 1 m, max thickness = 30 cm), of a total duration of 48 hours! We used our last tech large scale 3d printer, BigRep ONE!
Step 3rd: “Alien” components soldering and further technical process like caulking, for best shape results.
Step 4th: “Alien” print becoming a clear-cut after paint and veneer touch in our artistic lab.
